your first visit

What should you expect on your first visit with us…

At our office, you will find a professional and courteous atmosphere.  You'll feel comfortable and at home, while receiving exceptional care.  Everything we'll be doing will help us determine the best, most effective way to bring you to your optimal health.


 First, you will sit with the doctor for a Consultation and complete history, where we will evaluate your symptoms and decide if yours is a chiropractic case.

Then, we will proceed with a thorough spinal evaluation and Examination, which is geared toward detection and correction of vertebral “Subluxation”  (Click here for more information on Subluxation)

The procedures we use are designed specifically for your spine and nervous system health.  The exam will include a palpation exam, where the doctor can feel areas of your spine that may be involved with Subluxation problems.  Spinal position, curvatures and muscle tone can also be examined as it relates to possible spinal subluxations. 

Spinal X-Rays may be taken depending on your age, and situation.  There are many reasons why we would not take X-Rays on certain patients including pregnancy, most children, recent usable spinal X-Rays and some other various situations.  Aside from these situations, X-Rays are a common part of the examination process when looking for vertebral subluxations.  X-Rays give us important information including the position of the spinal bones, and quality of the spine and safety of adjusting it.  X-Rays also tell us the relative length of time subluxations may have been involved in your spine.
With this important information, we can make a more accurate determination of the type of adjustments your spine needs as well as the initial frequency of your care.  Your X-Rays will be explained to you and covered in detail at your Report of Findings.  We will schedule your Report of Findings within a few days of your initial visit with us.  During this visit, we will give you a personalized care plan and review any special instructions that you will need to obtain the best possible results.
